Paper Cutz Challenge #80

It's time for another fabulous challenge at the PCC. The challenge for this week is Spring! Any colors, images, or cuts that you like. Anything goes. So let your imagination go wild! So, on to my DT submission for this week. I love to go to all of the craft stores and hunt for great deals. My general rule is not to buy anything that is not on sale or that I do not have a coupon for. If I don't have a coupon and it's not on sale, I can almost always get a better deal online somewhere. This "rule" has saved me a fortune over the years and has helped me to fill my craft room with all sorts of goodies. I also LOVE digging through the dollar bin at Michael's. I never know what treasures I'm going to find, which leads me to my card. I found these adorable Easter stamps in the dollar bin and I just had to have them! Aren't these the cutest little chick, bunny, and lamb you've ever seen? I knew immediately that I had to have them and make a card with them. I thought that they would be perfect for this challenge.

For my card, I stamped these little guys onto white cardstock and punched them with a square punch. My punch would not fit the whole body of the critters, so I decided to "crop" them and make them into "photos". I matted them in black for more of a photograph effect. I colored the images with a set of markers that I got at Hobby Lobby (with a 40% off coupon-LOL). I decided that I wanted to do a pink and yellow card. I love pink and yellow together and think that it's a classic spring color combo. I cut an A2 sized pink card and the cardfront from yellow. I embossed the cardfront with a Cuttlebug folder. The ribbon is some that I got at Hobby Lobby when it was 50% off. For the sentiment, I found this saying in my stash of clear stamps and decided to stamp it onto the yellow cardstock. I cut this out with one of my Spellbinder Labels sets and matted it onto pink cardstock. I decided that my card was missing something, so I punched out the little flower from an EK success punch that I had. I cut several layers of this daisy-type flower and curled the edges around a paintbrush to give it some dimension. I added the leaves and this cute little yellow button brad. I pop-dotted the sentiment to the card. I really love how this card came out and think I might make more to send out to brighten someone's day!
