If Nothing Ever Changed, There Would Be No Butterflies

Wow! It's been a while since my last post. The summer has gotten so busy for my kids, here towards the end and it's been hectic....and HOT.....SO VERY HOT!!!! I haven't wanted to do much of anything. I feel very badly for those with outdoor jobs. Anyway, I have been working on this card when the mood struck me, for about a week. I had an idea of what I wanted, but working it out was another thing all together. I've had this stamp for a while and I LOVE this phrase. It's so true about life. We don't always like change and a lot of times fear it, but sometimes, the most beautiful things come from change. As my regular readers know (all 1 of you-LOL!), I am a USAF wife. One of my dear friends, who is also a military wife, is moving away to Texas in 3 weeks! We are so very sad. I know how she feels, because it happened to me 5 years ago. I also know that God may have big plans for her in Texas that she could never imagine! I never would have believed that I could be so happy here in Arkansas, but I am. I made this card for her to make her smile (I hope) and to hopefully feel a little better about things.

Card recipe:

Gypsy-to make the lattice trellis (I used the Wild Card argyle and Create a Critter vines)
Spellbinders- Labels Die
Martha Stewart- fence punch, grass punch and butterfly punches
QuickKutz- Monarch Butterfly die cut
Martha Glitter
Doodlecharms black flocking for the butterfly body
Stickles
small flower punches
I-Rock gem setter and gems
Stampendous stamp
Pearl embellishments

Whew!!!! I think that's it...... Anyway, this is a side-step card. If anyone's interested, I can post the template for this. Just let me know! Good night all : )
