Papercutz Challenge #58- Tags!

So, it's Friday! Woo hoo!!!! That means that it's time for a new challenge at the Paper Cutz Challenge Blog. The theme for this week is tags-make any project, in any theme and incorporate tags into your design somehow. This was a very daunting task for me this time. I NEVER use tags! Ever! So, I've been a little nervous about this one. I had no clue what I was going to do. I'm really trying to challenge myself (I mean, they are called challenges, after all!) I didn't just want to make a couple of gift tags and call it a day, although, I've seem some really beautiful tags on other blogs! I decided to make a TP album, another thing I've NEVER done before! I knew I didn't want to do the whole photo thing, so I decided that I would make a bookmark album. This is for my daughter to keep on her desk in her room to remind her that she is blessed! You know how teenagers can forget that sometimes! LOL. Let's get to it.....

Project recipe:
3 toilet paper rolls
3 sheets designer paper (mine was Jesus/Christian themed), trimmed to fit the rolls
Cricut Bags, Tags, Boxes and More cartridge
Spellbinders Labels die
Cuttlebug "script" embossing folder
Fiskars edge punch
Cropadile
eyelets
ribbon
jewel brads and pearl embellishments
Prima-type flowers
stamp set
embossing ink, brown ink, gold ink
"Pirate's Gold" colored embossing powder
Heat setting tool
pop dots

I think that the pictures make it pretty easy to figure out. I think the tags were cut at 2.6x 4.5 or something. I used scrap paper to cut a few until I got a size that I liked. I cut a smaller one for stamping. The larger one, I embossed and inked with gold. The smaller ones, I stamped with sentiments and inked the edges brown. I adhered these together, punched a hole and added an eyelet with the Cropadile, then fed through the ribbons. That was kind of tough! I As far as embellishing the cover, I just let my creativity and imagination be my guide! I think that's about it. For my first TP album, I think it came out pretty good, although, my embossing and stamping could have been a little neater. Can't wait to see what you all come up with ! Don't forget to link your project on Paper Cutz Challenge!

  5. Hey, Lisa! It's not a set, they are stamps that I have picked up at Hobby Lobby. They carry the best scripture stamps. I think that they may be by Stampendous, though.
